Bright Eyes number 1
aw Bright Eyes ~ Art Garfunkel. The theme tune to 'Watership Down'
Richard Adams, the author of 'Watership Down', told his children improvised stories about the rabbits on long car journeys and they insisted he wrote them down.
I used to tell my daughter lots of made up fairy stories at bed time, I just wish I'd had the hindsight to write them down (mmm maybe they are still there buried deep in my subconscious!!). Adams was rejected by 13 publishing companies along the way but finally he was successful and the rest, as they say is history.
This the trailer to the film released in 1978
I have never seen the film all the way through..... because I am a bit of an old softy and all those big sad eyes .........

it was such a sad film though, it was one of those films were you had a lump in your throat.
I know .... That is why I think I have not watched it all the way though.
Gosh I cry at Lassie, Incredible Journey ... in fact any film with animals in it that are hurt
[don't tell anyone will you ?]
i won't tell a soul, but you are right i think that is the reason i never watched it again, i actually remember sitting down to watch it when i was a teen remember it like yesterday.
i wonder if mr s at AHS ever got any of the pupils to do babysitting for his kids or were his kids old enough to look after themselves.
I bet the fairy stories you told had platform shoes and glitter balls in abundance ........ ooooooo, and spiders and magic handbags you danced round.
good morning DP, how is your head after your party yesterday? i can't wait for next years....
Which head ........ exactly?
DP-the one in the middle thats what i'd go for to be on the safe side.tee hee.
70's- well that's it back to school on monday...sob. just phoned headmaster, he said he has missed me...wot ever.

at least you have been missed but just take it easy Superwoman when you go back
oh btw don't let DP scare you with his heads .... it's Worzle Gummage syndrome poor old thing!!
DP~ I suspect my stories contained castles, fairies, goblins and princesses which were always my teen... but thank you for the suggestions they might well work in the re write????
Dp- who is going to torment you in the daylight hours when i go back to work??
70's-it takes a lot to scare me as long as DP doesn't dress up i will be fine. i used to love wurzel gummage, that aunt sally was horrid though.
Oh DP has a building project about to start he won't have time to torment hee hee
He does dress up though ... he tends to like to wear a cardboard box on his head [ I will send you a link... don't be alarmed!]
i have seen his building project...
