29th September 1979

Saturday 29
My auntie and cousin are coming up from London
Worked 10.00-6.00
Sam is at Oulton Park
auntie etc arrived about 4,30
Phoned Sam but he was out (surprise, surprise) (so glad I had learned sarcasm at an early age lol)
Made a brown skirt
Bought Fi's bithday present
a teddy bear

My main PC gave up the ghost mid way chatting with Olga tonight.. so anything saved to that hard drive is again not going to be posted (i.e. cool knitting patterns etc)

BUT!! this day in 1979 this was now number one (SWOON) ......

I saw the Police at Milton Keynes Bowl in the 80s .. it was akin to Glastonbury... heavy rain.. thick mud.. lost my shoes in the mud had to sleep in the car as we couldn't get out of the carpark.........but what a fab experience and I got to see Sting live :-)

Whenever I see Sting, tantric sex springs to mind - I expect you're the same ...........

I saw Sting once at the Globe Theatre in a concert to raise money for the Tibetan Peace Garden in Battersea. James Taylor another of my all time heroes was in it. They didn't sing any of their 'hits' just a lot of Shakespeare's songs from his plays. It struck me then that there was a good reason William Shakespeare isn't remembered for his music...shame!

Nothing worse than computer trouble... :/

I'm a Huuuuuuuuuuuuuge fan of the Police, although Sting's solo stuff doesn't quite tickle my fancy...

And yes, DP, I can't help but think of tantric sex, either. (sigh)

hey Diane I bet that was a pretty cool experience... can't say I can recall any Shakespearen hot hits off the top of my head ... maybe that is an opportunity for some up and coming young band :-)

Yoh Rev ~ The Police are so fantastic. I have loads of 12 inch vinyl records in the loft but alas no player to play them on...
Fields of Gold was a great album by Sting I must confess.
