30th September 1979
Little girl ~ do ya wanna play ABC with me?
Little boy ~ no I don't think I can I am so excited I think I have wet myself what with my mother dressing me up in girls knee high socks and Dorothy shoes and all!
Sunday 30
Phoned work but they didn't need me (oh I yearn for that to be said to me these days!!)
Went to Blackpool for the day
Had a really good laugh
Spent loads of money on rubbish (glad to see I haven't changed much hee hee ) Sam phoned at 10.45 pm
He was in a lovely mood .. honest!! (a hint of sarcasm perhaps?)
I was giggling when I read my e mails tonight on return home from work. There was an e mail from Sam. He has been reading the blog ... so DP be on your best behaviour...
On the 22nd September I copied from my diary
Sam up for 2 days
Worked 10.15 to 5.25
Sam arrived at 11.45
At 5.15 he arrived at the cafe pissed.
He had been to Stan's dads wedding booze up.
He was sick 100x (*snigger*... serves him right )
Went to Southport at 10.25
Home at 11.30 (I guess he was feeling pretty rough then? lol)
Sam's response in the e mail today (& I am sure he won't mind me quoting him)
"Did remember the being ill escapades after Stans dads wedding, you had cooked a pasta meal which you made me eat and then insisted we went out despite me wanting to die, I have never touched vodka since !" hee hee
The other thing that cheered my day I had an e mail from lovely Nurse Myra to say she had posted me something from Australia following a comment I had made on tNb's blog.... & on my dining room table (when I got home) was a big padded envelope from Australia..... containing a book that David Sedaris wrote.... I am going to save this for when I am an one armed bandit to read I will need a few cuckles then ... thank you nursie always knows best :)

Made a brown skirt
Bought Fi's bithday present
a teddy bear
My main PC gave up the ghost mid way chatting with Olga tonight.. so anything saved to that hard drive is again not going to be posted (i.e. cool knitting patterns etc)
BUT!! this day in 1979 this was now number one (SWOON) ......
I saw the Police at Milton Keynes Bowl in the 80s .. it was akin to Glastonbury... heavy rain.. thick mud.. lost my shoes in the mud had to sleep in the car as we couldn't get out of the carpark.........but what a fab experience and I got to see Sting live :-)

Friday 28
Boring day at college
Got a 'B' for my Sociology essay (blooming heck that was some quick marking)
Bought a shirt from Clobber £5.99 (Clobber was the shop to buy from in Southport then along with Van Allan.. Clobber had a prime site at the entrance of the train station so you just had to pop in on the way home)
Sam phoned at 9.00
Said he had done 3 hours work & now he was going to the Woolpack
I was supposed to be going down there this weekend
Watched Bonnie & Clyde
After the news yesterday that Paul Newman had I died I thought I would have a hunt around and see who was born and died in 1979 (up to September that is)
Births
Nora Jones ...I love 'Come Away with me'
Sophie Ellis- Bextor .. I saw her in support of Take That last year. She was good but the acoustics were shocking at the MEN arena
Robyn
Shane from Westlife .. my Mum thinks he sings like a girl but you can't take that away from the sucess they have had
Pink..... what a fabulous eccentric gal
Deaths
Conrad Hilton .. grand father to a rather spoilt Paris
Donny Hathaway .. a soulful chap who produced some fabulous music
This is done by Will Young
Sid Vicious ... I remember it so well but it didn't hit my diaries. Punk was at its hilt and he did and done a stupid thing
Richard Beckinsale... I remember the shock of this as he was young and up and coming. Very famous in his roll in 'Porridge'.. very sudden
Airey Neave and Earl Mountbatten were both assasinated by the IRA. We complain about troubles now with suicide bombings but I was brought up with indiscriminate IRA bombings in the 70s & 80s which still went on after my teen was born in the 90s (Warrington and Manchester bombings... the Warrington bomb I was shopping in Manchester and the Manchester bomb I was shopping in Warrington..(I live equal distance from both places) someone is looking over me I think? )
Mary Pickford... a star of black and white stage and screen
& dear old John Wayne .. get off your horse and drink your milk .. the man born called Marion.... Saturday afternoon Westerns would never seem the same again

A strange colour combo? I wonder if she can fly unaided with that collar??
Thursday 27
Not a bad day at college
Told my home lecturer I was discontented with the Business Studies lecturer. Finished my Sociology essay.
It took all night.
I am not going to Stafford this weekend
Cos Sam wants to do some work.
He is working at the Woolpack tonight.
It is amazing how your writing changes with time. From those initial scribbles on a page as a young child, to learning 'joined up writing'. I was taught around aged 10 to write like this (but a bit more swirly than this example).

To the adaptations you make as teen to how you where taught to write to the writing as an adult.
Today it hit me hard just how little I actually do put pen to paper. I bought something in a shop and their chip 'n' pin was broken so I actually had to replicate the signature that appears on my debit card.. combined with a dodgy shoulder I am surprised they didn't call in the fraud squad... I found it so difficult to sign my name.
God help when I am a 'one armed bandit' next month .. there is no way I will be able to sign.
Thought I would post a few 70s pictures tonight......
Can anyone tell me.. in the 70s where did men put their 'meat and two veg'? It certainly isn't obvious in these pictures!!!
now if you could sew would you ... and I mean would you make an outfit like this??
so ripe for a caption ' I so what to kiss you for this Mr Carter '... 'oh ok but no tongues!'
rather suspect hand communication from our right wing leader and husband at the time lol
I must mention in this post today that Paul Newman died today. He was a household name through out my growing up years. In 1979 he competed at La Mans as he was a keen racing driver. I particularly loved him in 'Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid' .. he was noted as saying about having affairs as 'why both with hamburger when you can have steak at home' a classic line.
He had a good innings aged 83... a legend indeed ...
I so love this song

Wednesday 26
Wages £6.00
Bought a bra & book 'Alien' (must have been the book of the film)
Games cancelled
Went to Fi's
Sam phoned at 9.30
I phoned him at 11.00pm
He has got his correspondence course
He said I may not be able to go to his because of it (huh??)
My I hadn't realised Alien was out in 1979.
Can't recall if I saw it at the cinema on release or whether it was later on video... maybe my diaries will tell me.
But who can forget this scene. I remember when I did see it being really scared at this scene... it is soooo funny now :-)
Well it is Friday and FMB have offered up 'The Friday Five'... it would be cheeky not to take part..... so here goes ..
1. What is the first TV program you remember watching?
Well it has to be 'Watch with Mother' and in black and white too (gawd I am that old).
Not sure though whether it was The Wooden Tops (loved Spot the dog, Andy Pandy,or Bill & Ben . it was soooo long ago but didn't they talk ever so 'posh' back then?
2. Is there a show on TV that you simply have to watch and even record it if not in?
Casualty. I have watched it since it first started and even my teen is hooked now. When she goes to her dads I am not allowed to watch it so I tape it and we watch it on her return. Even my mother tapes it for us too just in case I miss it.. I haven't the heart to tell her we can watch it on BBC iplayer.
3. Who was your first TV star crush (def: crush = infatuation)?
I immediately thought... Jan Micheal Vincent... don't ask me why but he is in my head as a TV idol. My he is some what creepy here Obviously Donny was my first infatuation but he wasn't an actor
4. Dallas or Dynasty?
Dallas of course. I so loved how they would sit out side and eat when there was a fair old wind blowing. Dynasty had too big a shoulder pads for comfort!!
5. Do you watch adverts/commercials on TV or flick channels to skip them?
I don't really 'do' too much TV these days so the adverts are fascinating when I do watch. I giggle at them and go 'erm what was that about?' and my Teen says 'have you never seen that advert before it is soo ancient' lol

Monday 24
College 9 - 3 Jewellery sale at the Clifton
Went to the dentist
I have an abscess
Got to have the nerve taken out and have it capped
Went to Fi's
Sam hasn't phoned & he didn't
Tuesday 25
Went to the dentist at 10.30
He filled my front tooth
Went to college at 2.00 pm
Made tomato soup etc (I wonder what the 'etc' was?)
Sam phoned at 10.30 from the 'Swan'
He was out with the lads from work as someone was leaving
As you know I am trying to get ahead of myself before the dreaded 'arm in sling for 8 weeks' episode. I posted that it cost me a tenner to get my garden done by my teen and boyfriend but it was a tenner well spent as it looks fabulous going into winter.
When we were clearing over grown plants we came across these guys who had set up home in a plant pot. We sorted out teens Play House last summer and popped them in a pot and then they were forgotten about
I need to find them a home soon as that 'silly song' is driving me mad....
can you believe this Disney classic is 71 years old ........
It was my teens favourite film when she was a very very small person.. I would sing some of this to her when she had had her bath, sat on my knee swathed in warm towels .. and she would repeat as she was the 'well' echo .....and would giggle so much when I said 't-o-d-a-y' in a rather gruff voice ... it went no further than that point.. then it was only repeated again and again.. then we would have the Aristocrats 'everybody wants to be a cat'..... lol

23rd September 1979
Sunday 23
Got up at 10.30
Went for a long walk around Ainsdale
Had a row with Mar after dinner
She was being pathetic over me & Sam (maybe coz he was sick everywhere yesterday... just a wild hunch... now being the Mum of a Teen I can see how that would wind you up... oh how the tables turn lol)
Went to the Sandhills all day (yes best to stay out of Mar's way!!)
Had an ace time
Sam left at 7.53 (wow we haven't had a precise/ on the second time in a while now)
Tidied my room (still staying out of Mar's way and trying to earn Brownie points too lol)
Well my ISP has been palying the hokey cokey all night tonight. Even my teen has given up and gone to bed and I have the lappy toppy (yeah) ... but boo too as all my scanned stuff etc is on the old boy PC... which will not load to broadband just now (drat).. I have just noticed that I can't sign into Google chat either on lappy..... oh things are not well (come on you guys sort yourselves out I pay you enough.....)
As a consequence I can't post what I wanted to post tonight (no knitting patterns either boo hoo!)
I have just thought ... is the hokey cokey a world wide phenomenon? I know some call it the 'hokey pokey' I am not sure if that is a slightly risque version......?
I do prefer this Kraftwerk version by Bill Bailey though........
went a hunting for 'telephone man' Meri Wilson as I have my phone with the same provider and that is a bit hit and miss just now too and came across this *snigger*

Went to Southport at 10.25
Home at 11.30 (I guess he was feeling pretty rough then? lol)
Well finally Cliff Richard was knocked of the number one slot in the UK with his 'We don't talk anymore'
Unfortunately it was replaced by an equally hated by me single ... it wasn't so much the song it was Gary Newman ... he scared me
Only a week to wait though for a tremendously fabulous new number 1 (ah swoon.........)

Boring day at college
Came home at 2.00

Sam phoned he is coming over and staying until Sunday
Friday 21
College 9 - 4
Hate Business Studies (yes I really did hate it but how interesting it could have been)
Painted skirting boards & window frame in bathroom (such great training for later life)
Made lasagna
Sam phoned at 11.20
He was a bit tipsy as he had been out drinking with Dave
Gawd I logged in at 8 o'clock with the intention of blogging 70s style. My mum then phoned then 'J' phoned as I put the receiver down (she has forgotten her log in that is why she has not posted in a while) .. then my cousin who is way, way older that me has added me to his facebook (I am sooo amazed he has facebook! so was distracted over there then as my mate in Madrid spotted me on line and wanted to chat) and now it is 11 o'clock plus........... OMW!!
So no 70s info tonight but a few jokes which made me laugh and to ease you and I into Monday (I have been on the 'Pat 'n' Mick (sick) for a week!!)
Just before the funeral services, the undertaker came up to the very elderly widow and asked, 'How old was your husband?' '98,' she replied. 'Two years older than me.' 'So you're 96,' the undertaker commented. She responded, 'Hardly worth going home, is it?'
Reporters interviewing a 104-year-old woman:
'And what do you think is the best thing about being 104?' the reporter asked.
She simply replied, 'No peer pressure.'
Three old guys are out walking.
First one says, 'Windy, isn't it?'
Second one says, 'No, it's Thursday!'
Third one says, 'So am I. Let's go get a beer.'
I've sure gotten old! I've had two bypass surgeries, a hip replacement, new knees, fought prostate cancer and diabetes.
I'm half blind, can't hear anything quieter than a jet engine, take 40 different medications that make me dizzy, winded, and subject to blackouts.
Have bouts with dementia.
Have poor circulation; hardly feel my hands and feet anymore.
Can't remember if I'm 85 or 92.
Have lost all my friends.
But, thank God, I still have my driver's license.
I feel like my body has gotten totally out of shape, so I got my doctor's permission to join a fitness club and start exercising.
Decided to take an aerobics class for seniors.
I bent, twisted, gyrated, jumped up and down, and perspired for an hour.
But, by the time I got my leotard on, the class was over.
My memory's not as sharp as it used to be. Also, my memory's not as sharp as it used to be.
Two elderly gentlemen from a retirement center were sitting on a bench under a tree when one turned to the other and said: 'Slim, I'm 83 years old now and I'm just full of aches and pains. I know you're about my age. How do you feel?'
Slim said, 'I feel just like a newborn baby.'
'Really!? Like a newborn baby?'
'Yep. No hair, no teeth, and I think I just wet my pants.'
It's scary when you start making the same noises as your coffee maker.
An elderly gentleman had serious hearing problems for a number of years. He went to the doctor and the doctor was able to have him fitted for a set of hearing aids that allowed him to hear 100%.
He went back in a month and the doctor said, 'Your hearing is perfect. Your family must be really pleased that you can hear again.'
The gentleman replied, 'Oh, I haven't told my family yet. I just sit around and listen to the conversations. I've changed my will three times!'
yes I guess I am feeling a bit old just now with all my aches and pains ... but I know it will pass.... lol :-)
It has been a glorious day here today, the sun has shone really strong and I have sorted out the garden for the winter with the help of my Teen and her boyfriend (yes it has cost me £10 but they did work so hard). Whilst in my shed (yes DP my 10 x 8 in sea green) I spotted a part of a drum kit I bought my teen when she was a littley.... at a car booty bought for a pound .. how 70s is this ??

18th & 19th September 1979
I am sure these could be knitted bigger lol
Tuesday 18
College at 10.00
made Chilli Con Carnie = hot
& American refrigerated cheesecake
Had a bath & washed my hair (washed my hair was crossed out btw.. how odd?) Me - exhausted (no wonder ... candle and burning at both ends springs to mind) Had my hair trimmed
Sam phoned at 11.15 pm
Wednesday 19
Corinna's 18th (my German penpal)
Picked up my wages = £6.00
Had general games
Watched T.V.
Phoned Sam at 10.00
He'd been doing over time until 8.00 pm
What a funny old day. I can tell you that 'day time TV' in the UK is rubbish.. but sooo addictive. I know what property to buy if I want to buy to let, how to make my own home more saleable, and in 60 minutes (with about 60 people helping) I can transform my home into something else with the walls still wet.... oh have I mentioned what I may have in the attic for a car booty to raise money?
I so have to get back to work. Alas it will only be for a month then I am having surgery on my shoulder (I have a rotator cuff tear).. I was told initially it would be a week off work.. now I discover it will be about 8 weeks with my right arm in a sling. How the hell will I post coherently with my left hand.. I am bad enough with my right!! Yes if I was a horse I would have had that 'ta ta or byeee' injection by now (bad back ... wrecked shoulder etc)
Thankfully I am not a horse but I have 8 weeks to endure day time TV. Unable to get dressed unassisted... can't apply make up unassisted or any of the normal stuff we take for granted unassisted.
On the bright side I still can boogie (there is a god!!).
Yesterday Diane of Much of a Muchness threw down the gauntlet.... The Handbag Tag.
The rules are simple
1. Dump the contents of your handbag in a pile.
2. Take a photo of your handbag and the contents.
3. Be brave and ’splain to your fellow bloggers what lurks inside the handbag.
4. Tag others who might want to embarrass themselves.
5. Answer these questions:
contents~ Jasper Conran purse, 2 work IDs, savings book, paracetamol & Ibruprofen, sunglasses, car keys, Burberry purse with MP3 inside. bracelet I got free with She magazine... must give it to my teen, broken pens, bendy ruler, Rennie Mackintosh metal book mark, watch that needs a new strap, Love Hearts, sad mobile, loose change, mascara, concealer, lip gloss, Body Shop lip balm, face cream, 2 lipsticks, Estee Lauder tray lipstick & eyeshadow... think that is it???
I did buy this smaller handbag (from Lakeland and it is as soft as a baby's bottom..) so I wouldn't carry so much stuff (shoulder and all) ... but it doesn't work. I consider all the contents essential... oh also my personal mobile is missing as are my glasses and I took my camera out to take the photos
What’s the most embarrassing thing in your handbag? my sad works mobile phone ...it is almost an antique!!!
What’s the smallest thing in your handbag? a bobble
Is there anything illegal in your handbag? I don't think so... maybe the metal book mark in the wrong hands could be a bit lethal....
I sharn't tag anyone but if you are feeling brave enough to reveal all ... give it a go
Thank you Diane :-)

17th September 1979
ok what is that head scarf/ear muff about? Oh and matching sweaters too albeit in different colours .. you can't fool me lol
Monday 17
Sam went to work at 8.50
I got up at 10.00
Met him in Stafford for dinner
He bought me a chicken salad
Got the train home
Bought a jumper from C & A £2.15
Went to night school 6.45 - 9.00 pm = good (now you will laugh.. it was a typing and shorthand course. Being in the top stream at school I never was allowed to do typing etc. So I took it upon myself to take up the 'art'.... I may have said I thought it was good then .. but I recall later I hated it ... particularly the shorthand. The tutor was so unforgiving, most of the class were on a refresher where as I was new to the 'dark art'. It was like learning a new language! All I need to do today when taking minutes/quick notes is to write fast in my scribble along with MSN/text speak .. for example '2' , 'B4' , 'fwd' 'w8in' , l8r.... in 1979 that was not invented.......)
Phoned Sam
I was going to post a Wonderous Wednesday post but after last weeks post it had left the Rev in a complete trauma ... and Drowsey Monkey 'does it so well' I am not going to continue.. but I urge you (well the female readers) to pop along to Drowsey place for your 'Hump Day Fix'
came across this tonight .. a quiz about 1979. I hope that link works if not click here & page down to the quiz.
I got 80% .. I lost on the price of milk increase and how people managed to flee from East to West Germany over the Berlin Wall (hey I thought pole vaulting was a great answer)

16th September 1979

Sunday 16
Got up at 11.45 am = shattered

Got bitten by red ants (I am saying nubbin!)
Went to the Woolpack
Played darts with Sam
he won 2-1
Well this day 19 years ago was a Saturday.
The day I wore a posh frock (designed by me costing £250 .. a bit puffball though!!), had a really bad 80s curly perm, had HUGE false nails stuck on for the occasion and entertained 200 people to a sit down 'knife and fork' in the afternoon and a buffet for 300 in the evening.
It was a great day I enjoyed every minute as did my guests ...
No I didn't marry the invisible man or Mr Whippy lol (mm? although that 'coupling' may have been more successful...)
You will pleased to hear that my back is improving..... waking up to getting on my feet this morning was 15 minutes but it will be an awful long time (if ever) that I can do this again
or this (so love this ...)
I think for a while I will be looking at this dance action (but without any hip swing action!!)

13th & 14th September 1979
Thursday 13
College at 9.00 am
Art Center for dinner
Usual boring day
Sam phoned at 11.00 pm
He'd been playing darts at the Woolpack
Friday 14
Go to Stafford on the 5.05 pm train
Got there at 6.05
Sam and his mum came to pick me up from the station
Rowed with Sam (oh my I had only just got there)
Went to the 'Garfield' (must be a pub?) and the 'Lodge' (probably another pub) Had a long talk (yes I think we needed to)
Well I am having a bit of a miserable time just now as my back is so much in pain..... work have been ok but some think I am swinging the lead.
I am in a new work environment and they have not witnessed my 'back flare ups' before.
My old team have lived through this with me over the past 15 years ... with my last really bad one in 2005 when I was off work for 12 weeks (I bent down to feed the cats and that was that!) ... came back to the work face and was on light duties for another 12 weeks, there then followed a cat scan, a really bloody painful steroid epidural injection in my spine...(ooo I don't want one of those again I can tell you) and intensive physio.
Having a dodgy disc means it can 'pop' when you are doing something totally inane .. and this was no exception .... apparently it is degenerative so deep joy it will only get worse as the years pile on (hey I thought it was bad when I was in my teens !! well it probably was! so each one is dealt with in turn).. hey ho c'est la vie!!
What has cheered me this time though is (apart from my new found portable Tens machine and strong wacky enhancing painkillers!) the kindness I have received from blogsphere. Personal messages through fuel and e mails.
I must say I was so touched by Scratch Bag who posted a lovely knitting pattern for me (I wonder where she found it & DP here it is just for you to enjoy *snigger*)... Thank you, it is so kind of you :-)

Have you seen Daddy P's blog today? He has wheeled out an old friend. It kinda shows you the softer side of him. I for one am a little sacred by this ...........
However, it got me to thinking about dear old 'Snowy' who has accompanied me through out my life. He is a bit camera shy .. and will remain so just for now .... but you never know he maybe pursuaded to show himself, stitches an all???

12th September 1979
you'd have thought she would have combed her hair??
Wednesday 12
Tech at 11.00
I am still in shock after the crash last night
Business Studies was cancelled (2nd day back and lectures cancelled already ... tsk!!)
Came home at 3.15
Phoned Sam
He says we need to sort out our relationship (oops!!)
Today FMB have introduced a 'Friday 5'... an interesting concept and could prove amusing.
It involves answering 5 questions .... I suspect a different 5 every week
This weeks are ....
1. What is your best joke?
2. If you were a character in the Muppet Show which one would you be?
3. Do you brush your teeth before bed?
4. Would you employ Daddy Papersurfer?
5. When was (if applicable) the last time you lied about your age?
so here we go.....
1. Best joke ??
Now I am absolutely so rubbish at remembering jokes ... but I do have one ...
A polar bear goes into a bar and says to the barman ' can I have.....................
........................... .......................... ..................................... ...............................
a glass of............................. ............................. ...................................... ...........
beer?
The barman replies 'of course ... but why the big pause ?'
Polar bear 'ahem I am a polar bear !!!'
pause/paws??? oh ok !!
2. mmm? which muppet character??
I know many may say 'Miss Piggy' maybe they are right ?
I had the pleasure of going on an exchange and met a Swede who did the most awesome Swedish Chef impression (as he could as he was Swedish),
I also work with Staler & Waldorf.... so I must conclude my life is like being a Jim Henson invention!
3. Do I brush my teeth before bed?
Of course I do ..... It was drummed and drummed in again into me from an early age
4. This is the tricky Q!! Would you employ DP?
Of course I would! Now but as what though? I would ask..... as a man who can transform rubble into a home .. then yes! as a man who can draw and make artistic statuey things? .. then yes! as a man who can go out and shop independently? erm No but as they say 2 outta 3 ain't bad .. but I would require good independent references........ oh and full 45 interview ... and .. and .....
5. Last time I lied about my age?
Well funnily enough it was last week. I was filling in an online survey that asked my age bracket. The 'just' age bracket I am in took me into an oldy bracket so I lied and said I was a year younger to keep me (just) in the 30 somethings bracket not in the almost 50 something bracket!! It is a vital time I am in just now!!

11th September 1979
Tuesday 11
Back to Tech (Technical College) = ok
Got £36 wages
ran for the restuarant, came 4th
Got £1 (it was some charity race I think??)
Went to the Scarisbrick afterwards
Andy was giving me a lift home & we crashed
No one was injured (yes I remember this vividly. We were approaching a 'give way' junction and Andy didn't 'give way'.... we were hit side on and the car was spun.... I still rememeber as we approached the junction 'gosh I don't think he is going to stop'!!!)
me = shocked
Told Sam, he won't speak to me (I reckon it was 2 reasons... 1. I was getiing a lift home by another bloke & 2. I was in a car with someone who had been drinking!!)
Well I have been and gone and done it....... my prolapsed disc has popped out again. It is not as bad as the last time at least I can still walk although it is with 'baby' steps.
I am sat propped up with the lappy top .... it is too painful to sit on my compurt chair just now on the old PC... so yes.... you have it NO KNITTING PATTERNS... lol
Oh and non of these for a while either oh or these
As I have nothing saved to this hard drive I will have to rely on some other things off the net
Firstly is this from BBCs holiday programme in 1974... I doubt today the Beeb would have so many boobs???

7th September 1979
oh how patriotic... red, whit & blue and matching too!!
Friday 7
Sam goes to London
Work 10.00 - 6.10
Waited on for a bit (God I hated that. The outdoor cafe owners had a restuarant and if it wasn't busy outdoors we were called to wait on tables..... it was awful .. rude customers and always soooo very busy)
Bought a pair of black jeans from 'Paige' - £12.99 (gosh I think my last pair of jeans cost me less that that.. how weird)
The Ripper was in the cafe (hee hee) (there was this bloke who would come and sit for hours with one cup of coffee, we imagined that this is what Jack the Ripper would have looked like... )
Sam didn't phone
As you know I went to Liverpool yesterday .. there is a big spider there just now. I found this you tube video of it ... 1.41 minutes in just see what happens (I don't think they meant for it to do this!! hee hee)
