********************************
I could quite get used to this not working lark. I am on a weeks leave and today I went for lunch with a friends whose birthday it is today (Happy Birthday Helen)
We ended up at the Trafford Centre. I have not been there for simply ages and it is such a shame as it is 10 minutes from home.

We ate at Rice Flamebar & Grill and it was superb .. 2 courses for £6.99. Well worth a visit if you find yourself in this neck of the woods.
2 more of my mates have a birthday this week too (on the same day) plus it is my great nephews too... what is it about March !!!

This is fairly amusing ... it is a Birthday calculator.

Amongst other things it tells me :-
My fortune cookie reads:
'Your ability to juggle many tasks will take you far.'
(not wrong there)

I am
1,486,488,503 seconds old.
In dog years I am 6.7334637964775 years old

My Birth tree is
Elm Tree, the noble-mindedness

Pleasant shape, tasteful clothes, modest demands, tends not forgive mistakes, cheerful, likes to lead but not to obey, honest and faithful partner, tends to a know-all-attitude and making decisions for others, noble-minded, generous, good sense of humour, practical.... (mmm that could be right too !!)

Go on give it a go :-)

So you asked him to marry you [sounds desperate to me although it was February 29th] and very soon after you went for a drink with some friends including your real husband to be [now 'Ex'] and you were a size 8 - I've got all the salient points now ........ OK, carry on

NM ~ I knew that there was something about you I liked ... the moon was gibbously waning the day I was born too ;-)

"Today is not one of my lucky days" Fine, I'm reading this on the laptop in bed and I'll stay where I am thanks.

I do, however, share my birthday with Brett Favre (I love Ben Stiller struggling to pronounce his name in There's Something About Mary) and Dave Lee Roth. Cool.

"Your birth tree is

Rowan, the Sensitivity
Full of charm, cheerful, gifted, without egoism, likes to draw attention, loves life, motion, unrest and even complications, is both dependent and independent, good taste, artistic, passionate, emotional, good company, does not forgive."

This is untrue. I am absolutely useless at bearing grudges, even though I have met many people who deserve being a grudgee...

Somn~ I have looked at my Birth Calc a couple of times and it always says .. 'not your lucky day'.... ah c'est la vie

So on the tree bit is it all not true or just the grudging bit ... I bet in your last 'hostile' environ there were loads who could be categorised into the grudgee camp!!!

1) Leap years are silly.

2) What did Sam say? I mean... we know you didn't marry him... but what did he say to that? How is it that you didn't marry him? More, more... you must tell more.

3) The birthday calculator told me it's not my lucky day either. It told me Friday was my lucky day (do you think it knew I'd just posted Food Porn?) and this:

Your fortune cookie reads:
Only love lets us see normal things in an extraordinary way.

The tree thing didn't really describe me all that well. I then did the name one, and thought it was pretty close... but then put in Mr. Frac's name and it gave me the same results as mine... only he and I are terribly not the same.

Ah well... you can't win 'em all.

Uh oh... that doesn't make sense. It said today wasn't my lucky day numeral-wise but then told me Fridays were my lucky day.

Mr. Frac's lucky day is Wednesday. Good to know. On Wednesday, we'll get him to buy the lotto ticket and on Friday, me. Perhaps then we'll get lucky like DaddyP and win enough to retire.
