I had some enormous platform shoes and I regularly went over on my ankle after a couple of pints. Actually I went over on my ankle after a couple of pints whether I had the shoes on or not!
hee hee I just had a mental vision of you tottering up the street, bell bottoms swinging between the platforms as you tried to stay up right.... huge collared shirt unbuttoned just far enough to reveal your Mystic Veg medallion (must have a lie down!)

I think I must post on here some facial fashions of the era, they were so legend... glad to hear you were a fashion icon of the 70s.
