Music through the lens ...

So here it is .. 70s first photo exhibition.

It is all very exciting .. I love taking random photos, capturing life as I see it but this was a challenge as the theme of the exhibition is music. I did have a wobble as I realised over the past few years I have only listened to music on the radio, looked tracks up for 70s blog or, as my Teen sees it, listening to 'sad' tracks on CD in the car....... and my last concert was Cliff Richard!!!

However I have managed to selvedge something to produce some exhibits. I have sourced all the frames from the local charity shop (£7 for all of them .. bargain) and my mate has printed them off for me. If I manage to sell any then I will donate 20% back to the local charity shop... so here are my exhibits.................. (oh it is running in the Icebytes Cafe in Ledbury, Hereford UK from the 14th Nov to 13th December)

Dear NM & GW ... I have taken my photos down to Ledbury and the good news is that Musikow and Jigsaw Blues will be sneaked in as my bessie mate is hanging the exhibition. They didn't get through as I had too many exhibits, the other participants have 2 - 4 I have loads !!
So looking forward to the PV on Friday ... I have a really high stressy week leading up to it (work wise) so it will be a great distraction on Friday.

GW are you referring to the brass photos?? They were playing at a local August Bank Holiday Festival I have no idea who they were but they were brilliant... it rained so hard and you can see that from 'Fire in your Belly' :-)

I don't know where you find the time - very impressed young 70's ...... you're quite clever in many ways .... [I'll deny ever having said that of course]

Thank you DP .. I think I must work well to deadlines ;-)

Have loved putting this together as I had no idea what I would do.. but as ever have been able to get the grey cells to work in some direction. I am so looking forward to seeing how it looks when hung ... will take loads of photos on Friday
[you can deny all you wish .. it is here in B&W.. lol]

I love the jigsaw one... and the yellow in 'The Best and Cheapest House Music' just keeps drawing me back to look at it... though yellow isn't usually my thing, there's something about it.

I agree with DP though... where do you find the time?

The best and cheapest house music is my fav now ... I think it is because the frame is like exhibiting an old master piece (it is quite a grand old frame) but with a quirk as it is side on. The gold, green and yellow compliment each other in a bizarre kinda way.

I am not sure where I stole the time from to do them ... mmm maybe it was a toss up between house work or get the photos done ... sitting in my house I can see clearly which won lol :-)

Annie Mouse - it was great fun but the pics I took just didn't work out for the xhibition .. [I had someone's huge head in the way ... must send you them :-)]

I think the yellow in 'The Best and Cheapest House Music' comes across as Andy Warholish. Might be why people are connecting to it.

...I have no idea what I'm talking about. Have you ever dabbled in self expressionalism through Hentai?
(ducks for cover)

tsk tsk JC you made me google ..... you can run but not hide you know ;-)

when you get time it would be nice to see them. put them in an album and thats one christmas present complete.

John has a point (about the Warholishness, not the Hentai...) but I've long been a fan of green, so maybe that green matte does have something to do with it also?

Anyhoo... just came to leave hugs for fraccy sis!

We are all well aware that John has a point .........
