Mother Nature

Things are coming along............

All grown from seed after the harshest winter I can remember killed off most of my plants.

The rose trees survived they must be hardy little divels......

I was gutted when the freezing conditions finished off my eucalyptus.... he was a very handsome tree once...

But Mother nature has come into her own and given him a second chance.......magical.

Eucalyptus trees are very hardy ..... hope everything will survive the proposed hose-pipe ban ...... you could drag the bath out from in front of the fire and use that I suppose ...

Is that DaddyP in his Bibendum costume lurking in your roses ?

We've had record rain here since spring... flooding even, farmers not able to seed at all, etc. I'd be happy to send you our excess water... think it would post well? ;-)

I've been out fertilizing like mad, trying to catch things up because it was hard to plant anything on time... it seemed to always be raining! I lost some shrubs and perennials over the winter also. It was a strange winter for sure.

But, umm... now that I'm paying attention, it does look like DP hiding in your roses. Perhaps he's confused and thinks it's that time of year again, when gits gather outdoors for the annual gingernut hunt?

Dear Frac~ I feel awful complaining about our harsh weather... I can imagine in Fracsaskatoon it was short sleeve weather... ;)

Do you know I had forgotten about the randomness of gingernut hunting .... he has got far Norff this time in his quest lol x

You are so organised, growing stuff from seed. I mean to do it every year but always remember too late :-(

Hope the rain that is forecast for this week eases your water problem - get those butts out! (Water butts that is...)

DM ~ Thank you ...and WB :)
Yes it is a Michelin man .. I found him abandoned in a street in Liverpool so I rescued him :)

Oh Diane it is a fluke that I have done this. I have been the same as you year upon year but this year I got a little organised .... lets see if they get past the slug attacks.

Oh and btw the Manchester weather is not letting me down it is persisting it down .....
