New Years Eve 2008

Woke up this morning to very unexpected Winter Wonderland.
It looks gorgeous and although the snow is not that thick it is freezing combined with freezing fog which makes for dreadful driving conditions.

Took my Teen to a party a little while ago and the car skidded sideways across the road (lovely .. not)

So I have decided to stay at home tonight and not do the 50 mile drive to my family get together .. a wise decision I think?

I will be hanging out with these guys during the evening ... do pop along if you have a window of opportunity .. there are vol-u-vents and things on sticks ;-)

Happy New Year everyone (again!)

Just to wish you all a very Happy New Year

I think my last diary entry has decided the 'diary of a 70s teens' fate.... roll on the 80s :-)
I am off this evening into an internet free zone (a strange old place to be sure).. I hope you all have a great time

Gelukkig Nieuwjaar.....Nouvelle année heureuse .......Glückliches neues Jahr ......Καλή χρονιά ...Nuovo anno felice ....Ano novo feliz ....С новым годом ...Feliz Año Nuevo (thank you Babelfish lol)

*************************

Well it is almost here the end of another year... where did 2008 go to??
I am still dithering what to do with my blog come 1/1/09 whether to stay in the 70s and revisit the years I guessed at as I couldn't find my diaries but did latterly come across ... or to dive into the 80s??

When I started blogging I had no idea just how involved I would become with it ... my shoe becoming my logo and fellow bloggers becoming part of my life and me in theirs. Had I known then what I know I would have planned it better ... but there again probably not as I have enjoyed the evolution :-)

FuelMyBlog are holding a 70s New Year party tomorrow I do hope that everyone pops in whether or not you have a 70s outfit... I have done mine but have been a bit pushed for time so it is not 'disco-ee' at all ... (There is a promise of vol-u-vents and chesses and pineapples on sticks ... must remember to take the prawn party ring)

superb!!!
Sylvie and Kevin
strutting their stuff as

I hope you are all having a lovely Yuletide and Santa was good to you.
He was extremely kind to me and I recieved some beautiful gifts .. thank you everyone ... the down side though is a lot of the pressies are chocolates.. there are Thorntons, Cadbury's Roses, Match Makers, Ferrero Rochers etc etc ... as much as I love them I already feel like the side of a house after over indulging on Xmas fayre............... hey ho!!

My teen bought me Enrique Iglesias Greatest Hits so I have been boogying around the kitchen ... but something else that made me boogy was the compilation of my favourite songs on one CD, which she made for me ..... it was such a considerate, well thought out gift.
I had wondered why she has asked me a couple of weeks ago what my top 5 songs were ????

So if you were asked that question what would you choose???

I chose
Chasing Cars ~ Snow Patrol (can't play this when the dog is here...it is also my mobile ringtone and she associates it with going out to pick up teen... so a bit chaotic, mad barking and bouncing dog.... lol)
Don't want to miss a thing ~ AeroSmith
Sweet Child of Mine ~ Guns 'n' Roses
Hero ~ Enrique Iglesias
Smooth ~ Santana

Went to Christmas Mass at Holy Trinity
***********************************

Oooo the last sleep before the fat man oops Santa arrives on his sleigh
I bought a Santa suit for a laugh and intend to wear it tomorrow ... despite the protests of my teen lol

The last day of Advent day 24

You just have to love cats and the way they will sleep any where!!

The objective of tonights game is to fill the screen with your bubbles and avoid the little bubbles as they pop you (CKX is up to level 11 I have managed level 2 .... drat!!)

I have not been able to get this to load on old boy computer but apparently CKX tells me
'This video and it's technique fascinates me. It's done by tilt shift photography where a real-life photo is made to look like a photograph of a miniature scale model. The song is beautiful too.'

Tuesday, 23 December 2008

23rd December 1979

Sunday
Stayed in all day
Watched 'The Bitch' on video
Went to Formby with Sam & Stan
Went to the Railway and the Bay Horse
Bed at 1.30 am
****************************

Well it had to happen ... it finally has arrived ... yes the cold bug that is circulating around the Uk has got me. Thankfully it is not the 'flu bug or that Noro virus thing, just a good old fashioned head cold with an annoying tickly cough and a head stuffed with cotton wool.
Managed to get my mince pies done and the apple & plum sauces and sponges for the trifles though.. I do feel a bit rubbish now!!

My Christmas Day Menu is done ... teen typed up a proper menu for my guests but we are having a few techy problems transfering it to print !!

Anyway Christmas Day is looking like this

Starters
Melon and Mandarins with rasberry coulis
~or~
Prawns in marie rose sauce on a bed of iceberg lettuce served with wholemeal bread soldiers

Main Course
Roasted duck
Roasted pork fillet
Medallions of chicken breast
chipolata sausages wrapped in bacon
Mashed and roasted potatoes
Roasted sweet potatoes and parsnips
Julienne carrots in honey
Broccolli
Sprouts
Balls of sage & onion stuffing
Pork & chestnut stuffing

Sauces
Cumberland jelly with port
Plum sauce
Apple sauce
Gravy

Dessert
Choice of chocolate, syrup or toffee puddings served with ice cream, custard and or cream
Individual trifles
Selection of cheeses with crackers
Coffee and mince pies

Advent 23 ....the penultimate one .. that means only 2 more sleeps (yipeeee)

This is way cool I could play with it for hours ..... here are my first 2 I did

Have only had a quick go at this running dinosaur game .... level 2 scared me ;-(

It's a Knockout was very musch a 70s/80s TV programme in the UK. I actually went to watch some heats in Southport as a teen. This You Tube clip is Jeux Sans Frontieres where European nations compete ... Stuart Hall who presented the programme was renouned for his giggling whilst commentating

Monday, 22 December 2008

22nd December 1979

Saturday
Worked 9.15 - 6.00 =£7.30 wages
Sam at Everton (0) v Man City (2)
Went to the Railway in Formby
Met up with loads of friends
JG was being a bitch
Home at 11.00
**************************

All is wrapped.... and all is bought in so 70s Xmas shop is now firmly shut.
Old boy PC is on his knees so as I am so well ahead I will spend tomorrow trying to get him in tip top condition ....[however, and shussssh.. I think I may need to invest in a newer model in the New Year ...]

eeeeee only 3 sleeps until Santa drops by ... I love the magic of Christmas

Advent 22
this is so cool I was wondering if I could recreate this in my newly plastered hall .. a quick lick of magnolia and then a sharpie at work??

I have been laughing at this game until 'I CAN'T DO IT' set in ... simply get the crate in the hole ...

Squirrels dancing to Michael Jackson ... yes it surely is Christmas lol

this is way one bird with attitude I would answer 'nothing ' to after being asked by it 'who are you eye balling?'

21st December 1979

Friday
Break up from college for Christmas (mmm I think I did that last week!!)
Got back to Liverpool at 11.45
Went to Fi's
Got to the 'Brick (The Scarisbrick Hotel and regular watering hole) at 1.00
= excellent
Talked with my Sociology lecturer for a bit
Debs went with JE
Went to the Sundowner (nightclub) with Sam & Stan
****************************************

With all this Christmas stuff I had forgotten to up date the number one in the UK on the 15th.
It is a classic song that stayed at number one for Christmas... again it was not one of my favourites but as I have got older I have grown to appreciate the song but not sure about the video ??.......

Advent 21

Not sure if these guys are for real or not ?? But I really don't think I woud be parting with good money for their services. This is their You Tube advertisement

Just check out the look on some of these cats faces after being rescued by Fire Fighters ... hee hee

Now this is another game which looks fun but I am completely rubbish at ... must have another go later

When nature needs a little cross species help ... this tigress's cubs died and was fretting so much the zoo keepers thought she would die. They couldn't find any tiger cubs but came across a litter of piglets .... so wrapped in tiger skins they became her cubs and not food!!

It so reminds me of The Tigger Movie

These little tiger cubs became separated from their mum in during hurricane Hannah.... Anjana the chimpanze stepped in to be a surrogate mother

Doesn't that just feed the soul?

20th December 1979

Thursday
Got up at 10.00
Went into Stafford to meet Sam
Went to the Nags Head
Met up with Sam's sister and went to the Malt & Hops & The Top of the World
Stayed in all night
******************************

Apart from take the pup on a big hike (to clear my head) I have done nothing today. It was actually quite nice :-)
Just got back from taking teen to meet up with her mates at a restaurant for a birthday bash. Last week we bought a 'joint' pair of shoes. Some how I don't think they will ever be allowed near my feet ... my teen is 5ft 9" tall and with these on she must be 6ft... how tiny did I feel!!.....she looked stunning though :-)

Advent 20
This is an odd website about upside down dogs
Perhaps I should send pups photo in (she was 12 weeks old here)

The game today is good ... except my grey cells are a bit pickled after last nights partying into the wee small hours .... it is a word game to train your brain

Some people are so clever ... awesome

I have a very special visitor from across the pond who has just arrived ... I will be posting about him very soon here hopefully tomorrow ????

Friday, 19 December 2008

19th December 1979

Visit the bears at Dear Teddy

Wednesday
Sam's Firms 'do' = great
met some of his mates in the Nags Head
Then went to Tillington Hall
had Prawn & pineapple salad, French Onion soup,Steak Jardinier, apple pie and cream
Cointreau, wine & coffee = excellent
**************************************************

I am posting early today
1. Because I can as I am off work
2. I am having a break from house work
3. I am picking up my mate, who lives in Madrid, from the airport later and then we are well... ermmm having in a good old Christmas get together... hic!!

Advent 19
I have seen this site before but always worth another look ... great idea

Only had a quick go at this game... I like it but it is fast but not as fast as Betty yesterday (CKX is up to almost 12k)

Whether you love cats or hate them ... at least one of these on this you tube video will make you laugh

awww happy dolphins

I hope there are no children reading my blog... but I was sent this photo of Santa chilling out this summer ... just had to share it

18th December 1979

Tuesday
went to college = boring
Sociology group in London (why didn't I go?)
Christmas dinner at the refectory but didn't have it (bar humbug? surely not?)
Packed to go to Stafford (I had only just come back .. what was the point of that?)
***************************************

Yahooooo I have finished for Christmas.. 2 weeks and 1 day off work how fabulous is that.

Advent 18
Love this .. was making some 'funky sounds' before lappytop was whizz away from me by Teen eager to get on MSN

Snowboard Betty is a quick kid I can tell you ... my eyes were agogg after I did a few slopes .. only managed 3000 .. oh I can so do better ..

Not too sure whether paper is good for bunny digestion but a useful tool when needed!

how happy is this bear?

17th December 1979

Monday
Got woken up at 8.15
Met Sam from work at 12.15
Had a Chinese meal
Got the 1.30 train back home
Got home at 3.45 = cold & wet
Fi has gone to the Tech Christmas do
*********************************

Only one more day at work (yippeeee) until I finish for Christmas ... then I am off until the 5th January (double yipeee). I am so behind on Christmas stuff, have managed to post 1/2 my cards and a few parcels but still have the other half of my cards to write/post and a couple of UK pressies to post.

How I used to do all of this when I worked 50 + hours per week I will never know... I think though the the less hours you have the more organised you are !!

Not had chance to test out the Advent calendar stuff tonight (home at 7, straight out to pick up Teen, then straight out to visit a friend .. home at 9.30 ... 20 minutes for old boy PC to crank up and is running slower than snail mail and keeps F.... r... eee..z..ing, thankfully I have the patience of a saint ......)

So Advent 17

This site on quick glance could be very useful lol

No idea about this game ... as old boy can't cope with loading it (yesterdays game is impossible btw) I will have to wait until Teen releases the lappytop.

This is a You Tube clip done by a Latvian band about my home city Liverpool... some good images of Liverpool

I wonder what is going through both of their heads??

I wonder what is going through both of their heads?

His grandparents from Manchester came down
Stayed in all day & night
Played Monopoly
I lost (nothing new there when it comes to playing games lol)
Watched 'Bananas' Woody Allen
Went to bed at 1.00 am
****************************************************

A big thank you to Nurse Myra for this brilliant card (just couldn't find a decent knitting Christmas card over here .. maybe I have found a niche market??) and gorgeous present, (which I have had to prise from Teen's hand ... 'awww Mum that is so cute can I have it?' ... ermm NO)

Nurse Myra also asked in my comments yesterday what New Zealand Christmas decoration I have ..... here it is..... a cute green kiwi lol

Advent Day 16

I love the internet and the world it has opened up but this site has confirmed just why I love it so much. The photography here is awesome and what amazing pieces of art.

Not had time to play this game yet as my old boy PC won't load it (need to try on young lappytop once Teen lets go of it!)... apparently it is addictive .. CKX is stuck at level 11

Can't get into the post it note fun either :-(

this is really a contented photo .....just love it, how peaceful must that be lying on your back on a lilly pad gazing up at the sky!

How 'mean' looking are these kids .. glad they are caged in lol

Monday, 15 December 2008

15th December 1979

Friday
2 years (the amount of time me and Sam had been dating)
Went into Stafford
Sam bought me a dress for Crimbo
& a necklace for our anniversary
I bought him a tie
Went to the Staffordshire Bull in the evening with 9 other people

*******************************************

My PC has been playing up tonight .. combined with a mega wrap of presents for Christmas ... it is now so late ..

Advent 15

some fantastic buildings featured here.... my office is adjacent to number 15, I walk past it every day . It is fashioned on a big filing cabinet and apparently the other side of the building is a Mother Board.

Love this game and I think DP would to... avoid bouncing tangerines .. it is so funny

hee hee how cool is this dogs face ??

Sunday, 14 December 2008

14th December 1979

Friday 14
Go to Stafford

Got to Stafford at 4.45
Met Sam at 5
went for Christmas dinner at the Woolpack
= nice but such a lot of food
Home at 11.00

***********************************************
An exhausting weekend of cleaning, putting up decorations and Christmas shopping. I have decided on duck & pork for xmas dinner (sounds a bit pornographic when you put the 2 together lol).. only to be told by my mum my brothers don't like duck... sheesh!!#
The trees are up ... the main tree is a 'memory tree'.. it has bits from around the world .. places I have visited and places friends have visited & old stuff that mean things to me and teen. It is not changed theme wise to match the decor.
It is a delight to see my teen aww & ahh as she unwraps them and remembers them from previous years ..

This Santa is as old as me .. my gran bought it for me when I was a kid
This came from from Florida on my teens first Christmas

Then there is the Angel Tree in the conservatory.. it has an aray of angels from conventional ones to pigs, bears and disco divas lol

Advent 14
This is Loverly
Much easier tree decorating than doing it for real... btw it is -10 in the North Pole brrrrr

I am so rubbish at cricket in the real world why I thought I would be better 'virtual'.. I was deluded...

Is it christmas yet??

Saturday, 13 December 2008

12th & 13th December 1979

Wednesday
College 11.00 - 1.00
Dossed around town skiving til 3.00
came home
Washed, cleaned & cooked
went to see Mar in hospital
She looked groggy after the anesthetic
Spoke to Sam 2 x

Thursday
Mar = out of hospital
came home at 4.30
Went to the supermarket and cooked the tea
Washed up
Washed my hair and had a bath
Packed for tomorrow
Sam phoned at 10.20 = he sounded in an ok mood
*****************************************************
2nd and final works Christmas do yesterday. It was a quite a good laugh, some had been out for a meal so where fairly squiffy by the time I arrived at 4. I had not seen many of my new colleagues drunk before hee hee

So with my absence yesterday there are two days of advent to deal with
Advent 12 & 13

I had a go at this game last night under the influence of a few vodka & tonics ... not easy when your reactions are slightly off, I reckon it would be a good game for the police to use to prove you have drunk too much ... anyway just collect as many of the pink face things as you can .. 100 each level to keep you in the game. I got around 6000 points last night and I think it could be addictive (CKX is up to 40,060 on the easy level)

Love this Super Mario game ... must have another go tomorrow

This blog is excellent ... I have been laughing my little socks off at the 'sexy people' here ... must book mark this one and see what new faces come up

In Liverpool during the 08 celebrations the city was awash with Superlambananas.
The museum have done a special one for Christmas ... check out their Flikr site ... CKX has had his paint brush out too ...
I wonder how long this took to cut through with a bendy saw??

This is definitely ' dog revenge' sfter being put in a silly cone collar!! lol
awwww just simply sooo cute :-)

Thursday, 11 December 2008

11th December 1979

Tuesday
Mar goes into hospital
Sam phoned at 4.30 & 10.30
Went to see mar in hospital she is having her op tomorrow
Watched ' Clockwork Orange' on video =brilliant
Fi failed her driving test

I have never seen this film since I saw it back in 1979... I wonder if I would still think it was 'brilliant'??
Been on my first Xmas do this afternoon/evening. Had a great meal in Cafe Rouge and a few gluweins in the German Market and a couple of drinks in the Rising Sun.
This is a cute little pub built in the 1600's which is squished between new developments.

Advent 11.
I have had no time to really look at these tonight (sorry CKX)..

this page is about kids TV themes ... if you click on a character you can hear their theme tune... simple :-) It must have taken them ages to do!

Tonights game I just can't open ... I think it is to do with my ISP as it has crashed once tonight already.... it's super crazy guitar maniac... sounds just up my street lol

I like this.. it is literal videos ... music videos redubbed to reflect what is actually happening in the video. Give it a go. There are three to watch ..

aw how sweet.....

Wednesday, 10 December 2008

10th December 1979

Monday
My brother comes home (My brother worked all over the Middle east and Africa in those days, I loved him coming home as he always brought a gadget home of some description... like a talking calculator or a video camera or recorder... the likes of which we had no idea about)
Sociolgy cancelled again

Brother arrived home at 8.45 pm

phoned Sam
He was in an average non talkative mood

Bernie & I got banned from the library until Wednesday (hee hee how funny. I do actually remember this we were laughing so much as Bernie had gone up to some one with a tampon in her mouth and asked them for a light... she was such a bad influence on me .. but I loved it!)

Advent 10

Some stuff you can do with Sushi... I am not a fan at all, my teen loves it & have to buy it from M &S for her. But must say as an art form it is growing on me

The game tonight is about painting balls ... lol I am up to level 13 and I am flumoxed completely ... if any one can get past this .. pleeeease let me know how you did it!

This is weird I just keep thinking pantomine horse!!!

Love these pics both remind me of DP lol

Tuesday, 9 December 2008

9th December 1979

Sunday 9
Went to Makro at 9.30
Bought a pair of grey boots and various other bits and bobs
(I so loved those grey boots I wore them untl they could not be worn again ... unfortunately they weren't Jimmy Choo's like the photo.. but not dissimilar in style....)
Stayed in all day and all night
Spoke toSam 2x
He sounded tired

Today is Donny Osmond's 51st Birthday and my goodness he is looking good.
Happy Birthday Donny ... swoon.

Yesterday I missed that there was a new number one record in the UK in 1979.. Dr. Hook was knocked off the top spot by another 'swoon' of mine Sting and the Police .... Walking on the Moon

Day 9 of Advent

This website is clever it works out what a measurement looks like in an alternative form. CKX's (who does the calendar) height is equivalent to 34 AA batteries end to end .. my height is equivalent to 1.2 Alskan moose antlers (span) or 25 US dollars laid end to end... hee hee my weight is 13 domestic cats (time to diet to get down to 10 cats)

The game, again I have had no time to master any of it ... it is a tennis game .. & has possible addictive promise lol

This is facinating.. I tied on my pup tonight but she only wanted to give me a doggy snog (eeeew)... guess it is her way of telling me to stop singing... maybe the pups on this video thought the same 'hey guys pretend to be a sleep and he will stop singing'

I swear I will never moan about Manchester traffic again after seeing this photo

Monday, 8 December 2008

8th December 1979

Saturday 8
Worked 9 - 6 = quite busy
Bev R works there too (???)
Phoned Sam at 7.20
He sounded tired
He went to see Simple Minds last night
Phoned Fi

Don't think I have heard this track since the 70s .... love Simple Minds

I remember them more during my New Romantic stage in the 80s

Ok Advent Day 8

I can only think this page is for vegetarians who are missing a good steak... you can pop it on your plate and not feel guilty!!

Todays game is piloting a space ship. I have had a quick go but I am rubbish as it involves the use of 4 buttons with my right hand and remembering to use my left as a break.... I will see if I can improve (I am still hooked on Gold Miner)

Simply very clever .. I want one

How cute :-)

Sunday, 7 December 2008

7th December 1979

Had my hair washed and trimmed @ Tech = 25p (25p!! how cheap is that??)
Went to Fez's party til 11.00 = good
Was with Fi, Fi D, Les B, Les P, Sue Mc, Naomi, Claire, Bernie, Debs, Ann & Chez.
Fi was with Winny....

I am exhausted a full day of Christmas shopping .. mostly all done now but we ran out of shopping hours with it being Sunday trading hours accompanied by the hunt for teens Christmas outfit

Advent Day 7

This is so cute ... there are animals and birds on here I have never heard of ... I bet you go 'ahhhh' at least once ....

Todays game is a memory one. I had a quick go this morning and got a 'B' ... must try harder

I like this but unfortunately my camera is not up to the job, must save this page in the hope that one day I can afford a digital SLR.

If you had one of these puppies you would so have to do this lol

Cool :-)

so that is where Father Christmas lives!

Saturday, 6 December 2008

6th December 1979

Thursday 6
Cooked 8.30 - 11.00
Made
Kidney Turbigo & Jamaica tart (just can't imagine eating kidney now .. tubigo'd or other wise .. eeeew...)
Sam rang at lunch time & in the evening

His Grandad has had a heart attack

My hairdresser has been today and to match my new look blog I have had more pink put in my hair .. I love it mainly because of the reactions of other people lol
Anyway it is a vast improvement from this circa 70s/80s hair

Day 6 of Advent

This is a cool website ... I love the idea of chocolate shavings but also how useful is the socket-deer. How hard it must be for inventors these days as there is so much already invented !!

The game for today has had me laughing ... I am sure the words have been supplied by either DP or John C?? So excellent ... do check out Mittens and Snowdrop on this site too ... quite brilliantly done.

This picture reminded me of 'Stop the Pigeon' ...so ripe for a caption!

As much as I don't follow celebs this photograph does give me a slight ''mmmm? imagine this every time you step out of your front door?'.... yes I am pleased I am not famous!!

From the 70s Evel Knievel toy advert... the toy NEVER lived up to the ad I found what ever exciting marketed toy you got from Santa tsk...

Friday, 5 December 2008

5th December 1979

Wednesday 5

Went swimming this afternoon
Sam phoned in the morning

& 2x in the evening

Prepared cookery stuff for tomorrow
Sam isn't coming up this weekend

During this advent lead up to Christmas, my individual 'day' headers have been scanned from last years Christmas cards.

I am a bit anal over this as I keep last years cards to remind me who to send cards to in the current year .. then they are recycled.

I am so strapped for time when dismantling Christmas I don't note down new addresses in cards and I can never remember the kids names of some of my neighbours
( I live in a street where everyone send you a card!)

Anyway as I was going through them I came across this one.... my oh my I had quite forgotten Daddy Papersurfers impact on the world .. he even has personalised cards ..

So day 5 ... only 20 days to the BIG day ... I so love this link that CKX found. In his email to me he describes it as ' a classic advert website with a genius reworking of an old tune. Reminds me of old cinema adverts' Indeed Pearl & Dean eat your heart out Oh and DP I hope it doesn't make you fret too much!!! The game ... well it is pants.... well it probably isn't but I can't do it as hard as I try .. teen could though (bah humbug!!!)
So I found a game I could do .. thank you Walkers crisps. I put Snowy's head on it he looked so funny :-)

From 1971 the Christmas Coca-cola advert

Thursday, 4 December 2008

4th December 1979

It has been so cold ' oop' here that even my pup and one of my cats are snuggling up to kee[ warm (a very rare photo in our house indeed....)

2nd December 1979

Sunday 2
Got up at 12.15 pm
Went to the village for a paper

Stayed in all afternoon
Watched 'Hot Rock'
Alison rang

Sam left at 7.45 pm

His train was late

He rang from Lime Street

My oh my it is cold 'oop Norff' just now. Last night it rained, then it froze, then it snowed and then it froze again... Thank goodness I learned how to ice skate as it was treacherous on foot all the way to work.

I am off to London tomorrow & I think my arrival coincides with the Queens procession passing by for the State Opening of Parliament ... it will be chaotic as my meeting is on Parliament Street right near Westminster & ministers are threatening to disrupt the event following the arrest of the shadow minister Damien Green... .

I just love the age old pomp and ceremony that we still trying to hang on to here in th UK ...things like firstly, the cellars of the Palace of Westminster are searched by the Yeomen of the Guard in order to prevent a modern-day Gunpowder Plot. I suppose it is a very safe day to visit the capital as security will be 110%
Needless to say I will be taking my camera and hopefully will get some reasonable snaps ......

Ok day 2 of the Advent calendar
.

Here is a clever and very busy clock ... tried to embed it in my side bar but couldn't get it to fit :(

Todays
game ....... well lets just say that a 7 year old chimpanzee is more reactive than me .. my best score is 2 :-( (just don't blink it is that fast... )

Continuing on the chimpanzee theme how cool is this little chap from a Japanese television show

I wonder which blogger this is?? lol

1st December 1979

Saturday 1
Sam went to see Liverpool v Middlesborough with my brother
Worked 9-6 = ok but quite busy
Baby sat from 7.15 - 2.30
Had quite a good time but I am knackered (god I bet I was !!)

Ok it is now December so the start of the advent calendar with extracts from my cousins (CKX) hard work .............

Firstly a game. As some may remember from last year I am sooo rubbish at computer games and this is no exception. I live in Europe and know 'sort of' where places are but I put my inablity to pin point airports do that down to the fact I don't flying thing (that is my excuse and I am sticking to it )

Off you go ... just click here

Next is a wonderfully disturbing web site which CKX tells me is for a photo-shopping art project.... it is interesting to say the least.. actually I do like the idea .... here

I like this too as I am such a great fan of Wallace and Gromit oh & James Bond (it is a difficult decision.. Wallace or Daniel Craig?? ok ok it isn't THAT difficult)
